Jamie Bozzi, BA, CPDT-KA, KPA CTP, CC is the owner and head trainer of SMRTDOG. Jamie has been a professional dog trainer and dog behavior consultant for over 10 years. Jamie has been influenced by several prominent dog trainers and industry professionals, including but not limited to, Karen Pryor, Jean Donaldson, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Pat Miller and Pam Dennison.

SmrtDog offers a variety of ongoing puppy and adult dog training classes, as well as agility training and now offering K9 Nose Work® classes! In addition, SmrtDog offers specialty workshops such as trick training, crate training and more! Classes are held in Ocean Beach and La Mesa. Check out the Calendar page for current offerings. Private consultations are also available for your convenience to meet a variety of needs, and can be scheduled throughout San Diego County.

What is an Animal Behaviorist?

Animal Behaviorists take scientific knowledge about animal behavior and apply it to real-life issues. Working directly with pet owners, they evaluate behavior and provide information necessary to improve the quality of life of the animal. Professional animal behaviorists have only recently begun studying domestic animals - in the last 25 years.

Smrtdog.com strives to expand our knowledge of the interrelationships between people and their canine companions. In the treatment of behavior problems in dogs, it takes time to establish cause and develop treatment plans that are suitable for the owner’s circumstances.
